DEAR EDITOR – The RSIPF would like to respond to allegations raised by a former retired police officer in the Solomon Star 15 June 2014.
This was in relation to sick police officers receiving their salaries in sick bed while away from work.
Apparently, in 2012 the RSIPF through its administration branch had conducted a process on consultation through the Commissioner’s office and the Ministry of Public Service, which helped deal and support six police officers on retirement age and on medical grounds.
The issue in question of two RSIPF officers that were highlighted by the former retired police officer over the weekend cannot hold more grounds, to what the RISPF organisation appreciate greatly of its two long ill officers.
The RISPF is not only a law abiding organisation but its goal and objectives also paramount, to the welfare of its officers as much as it provide peace and security for its citizens.
Police have been on top of issues and its progressing well that ill officers can finally leave by the end of 2014.
Police urges anyone who may have great concern with police to come forward and make appointment with the office of the RSIPF at Rove Police headquarters.
The Police Commissioner’s front desk can be contacted through phone: 24653
