THE Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) has made clarification on how the gate takings are managed.
The clarification was made following criticisms by the public accusing SIFF of misusing the gate takings for personal use.
They also questioned SIFF if provincial teams will benefit from the gate takings.
SIFF president, William Lai in response to critics say the gate takings will be put back to provincial development after deducting all costs.
“After deducting all costs, all money will put back to provincial development as agreed by the Congress last year.
“Twenty percent 20% will be retained for National team and Solomon Cup development.
“Therefore, 80% goes back to the provinces.
He added that all provinces must apply for the money and how they are going to spend it, this is for transparency and accountability.
SIFF CEO, Joseph Boso said SIFF has also paid each provincial team a support grant for their participation.
“On top of that SIFF has paid each PFA team $20,000 already for support grant to participate in this Solomon Cup.
“Moreover, SIFF has also paid $20,000 in administration grants to all provincial associations earlier this year.
“Most importantly these funds will be released on the submission of proper applications for actual development programmes and competitions in accordance with FIFA standards of practice,” he reiterated.
