THE second edition of the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) President Futsal Cup is set to commence at Friendship Hall this week.
An impressive fifteen teams have confirmed their participation, marking a significant rise from the previous year’s competition.
The SIFF Super Futsal League board officially announced the inclusion of 15 diverse futsal teams, showcasing the sport’s growing popularity within the Solomon Islands.
This expanded participation includes representation from both local clubs and provinces, emphasizing the widespread appeal of futsal across the region.
Scheduled as a pre-season event, the Presidents Futsal Cup aims to prepare clubs for the upcoming 2024 season of the SIFF Super Futsal League.
This initiative not only fosters healthy competition but also contributes to the overall development and readiness of participating teams.
The confirmed lineup for the tournament boasts an display of competitive teams, namely Ailako FC, Balanga Pool FC, Dawn FC, Futsal G.C, Haura FC, KH FC, Kukstaon FC, Mataks FC, Manihot Futsal FC, St Nicholas FC, SALT FC, Sanctus FC, Sewa FC, SOSA FC, and Wesley UTD FC.
Anticipation is high as the tournament is scheduled to run from Monday, February 12, to Friday, February 16, 2024.
Friendship Hall will serve as the battleground for these teams to showcase their skills, build camaraderie, and provide fans with an exciting display of high-quality futsal action.
