Eight football clubs from North East Guadalcanal advance for the quarter final of the Sikua’s Cup 2018 after winning the top eight matches at King George Six field, Tuesday.
The teams are Geza A, Geza B, Balanga A, Balanga B, Green Snails A, Green Snails B, Tayg A and Poison Dust.
They will meet for the quarter on Thursday starting at 10 am.
The first match will see Geza A taking on Green Snails A followed by Poison Dust against Geza A.
Another exciting quarter finals will see Tayg A taking Balanga and Green Snails B up against Balanga B.
The quarter final matches are expected to be tough as they fight to secure their position into semi-finals on Tuesday next week.
The grand final of the Sikua’s Cup 2018 is schedule for Wednesday next week.
As of yesterday supporters and soccer fans from Paripao and Tasilau could not hold their breath as their teams play.
The Sikua’s Cup was launched on 12 October at Christian Outreach Center at Balasuna where 41 football clubs in North East Guadalcanal participated on it.
The winner will walk away with a cash prize of $10,000 plus trophy.
The first runner up will receive $7,000 while the second runner up will receive $5,000 and fourth place will receive $3,000.
The prize presentation will be held at Christian Outreach Center at Balasuna next Thursday.
