THE Solomon Islands Medical Association (SIMA) has lifted its strike notice issued last Friday, following their successful dialogue with the government.
Spokesman Dr Alex Munamua confirmed the lifting of the strike notice to this paper, Thursday.
He said the notice has been stroked off and they already notified their members about the action.
Dr Munamua revealed that the issues between SIMA and the government have been sorted out.
“It is just somehow a misunderstanding from the government to remove the non-monetary benefit to SIMA’s Scheme of Service (SoS),” he clarified.
SIMA last week issued a 28 days industrial action notice to the government.
This came following what they claimed to be a breach in the memorandum of agreement of the SIMA SoS by the government.
