THE Solomon Islands Netball Federation (SINFED) is setting its focus beyond 2019, eyeing the 2023 Pacific Games.
SINFED president, Noelyn Luahiti stated that SINFED continues with its Plan to get to the final play off at the Pacific Games 2023 in Honiara.
Last December, SINFED facilitated its Corporate Plan 2019 – 2023.
A few veteran players were involved.
The plan will then be further discussed and finalized by all member associations by February.
SINFED also aims to draft in players of Solomon Islands decedents in Fiji, once the Dual Citizenship Act is enforced.
“Netball is a game of height and so we will be looking at getting players that are of minimum height, 5:58metres.
“We will look to Fiji for support because we want to win the netball tournament in 2023,” SINFED president, Noelyn Luahiti said.
In the meantime, the training squad for Samoa 2019 resumes tomorrow.
The training will be conducted by former national captain, Miriam Poloso and veteran Captain Doreen Beck.
SINFED will be sending a development team with a few veterans to Samoa 2019.
