A SINGLE mother who surrendered her Kwaso brewing apparatus to police was warned not to be involved in Kwaso (homebrew) brewing again.
The single mother from a village in Central Kwara’ae in Malaita Province voluntarily surrendered her Kwaso brewing apparatus to the Auki police on Tuesday this week during the Auki police festive session operation.
Upon surrendering her Kwaso brewing apparatus, police warned her not to be involved in producing the illegal substance again.
With that, the Auki police is calling on Kwaso producers to surrender their brewing apparatus and refrain from producing Kwaso.
According to police, Kwaso consumers are responsible for almost every issue experienced in Malaita.
Putting a stop to Kwaso production means putting a stop to Kwaso related issues in the province.
