THE Solomon Islands National Paralympics Committee (SINPC) has released the names of the National Para Sports Squad for upcoming International, regional and domestic Para sports events.
Seventeen men and women were selected from recent training camps organized by the SINPC.
The first sports event these selected athletes will take part in is the upcoming Solomon Games in Honiara at the end of the year.
They will be representing Honiara, Guadalcanal, Malaita, Makira, Isabel and Western province in athletics.
Training for these Para-athletes will kick off next month.
Those in the men’s and women’s squad are as follows;
Men’s – Solomon Jagiri, Breeze PITA, Rodney Satini, Rodney Konai, Nako Michael, Remon Jaysis,Talomae Mofet, Boto Nobet, Jihn Raoga, Shadrack Timothy, Silas Aldino, Danta Bath,Laeta Donald, George Manebona,Flynn Dolaiano,Arisu,CosmolMaefolia.
