Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (SINPF) team has join the campaign in raising awareness about breast cancer.
Each year this month (October) focuses on breast cancer and so Friday the SINPF team join the campaign in celebrating the charity and awareness of Pinktober by wearing a pink ribbon.
“Pinktober is the campaign about Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) which is primarily celebrated on the month of October,” the statement said.
Its understood business houses staff in support of the campaign wear their normal working outfit but put on something Pink to raise this awareness.
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
Breast cancer is one of the major medical issues which women of this nation and the hospital staff are currently facing.
So Friday every SINPF staff wear pink ribbon showing their full support in the campaign as a socially responsible organization.
On Friday morning all staff got together for a photo shoot showing their support.
There was a financial support and donation being made towards the campaign which is passed to BSP and finally to First Lady Pink Ribbon Charity
SINPF said it remember women who have lost their lives in the fight with breast cancer and those who are living with the disease.
Earlier BSP has appealed for support towards Pinktober.
