The Solomon Islands National Provident Fund Board (SINPF Board) has signed an agreement with TGB and Kramer Ausenco for the proposed project in Auki, Malaita Province. On the 6th of February 2020, the Solomon Islands National Provident Fund Board (SINPF Board) signed the deal with Tropic Group Builders (TGB) and Kramer Ausenco for the construction of an office complex for Solomon Telekom Company Ltd sales office in Auki.
This contract signing marks a milestone for SINPF’s investment into provincial commercial properties in the country, a statement from SINPF Media said.
This project is wholly funded by SINPF Board with TGB as the building contractor and Kramer Ausenco as project managers, the statement explained.
SINPF General Manager Mike Wate following the signing spoke highly of TGB’s reputation as a contractor in the Solomon Islands.
“TGB is not new to SINPF, as they were our partners in the construction of our other investment project, most notably the Hibiscus Executive Apartments in Hibiscus Avenue,” he said.
TGB’s Managing Director Justin Fuoo in his response he said that TGB is fully prepared to fulfill its obligations under the contract and will deliver the project on time.
The project is approximately $11m and contributed to lifting the face of Auki township. It is anticipated that the project will take around 12 months to complete.
TGB is at the moment mobilizing its team for the start of the project.
Construction work is anticipated to start on site around mid next month.
