STUDENTS at the media and journalism classroom at the Solomon Islands National University, (SINU) Kukum campus turned up at class yesterday morning and were shocked to find their classroom being flooded with water as a result of the overnight showers.
This happened due to a leaking roof. As result the tables were wet and the floor covered with water.
Some of the journalism students said that it was sad thing to see such thing happening more so; the country’s owned university classroom in such a bad state.
“The leakage is now almost two years,” a department staff said yesterday.
“The leakage has also caused electrical faults which caused the light bulbs not working anymore,” he added.
A spokesperson for the journalism students, Naydo Wong said its important that something is done quickly to resolve the problem.
