Solomon Islands National University (SINU) is currently gearing up for its annual open day this week.
The event will be held on Thursday and both students and staff have been preparing themselves for this upcoming event over past weeks.
The event will be staged at the Kukum campus soccer field under the theme, ‘Pathway to New Heights in Learning & Education.’
SINU sports co-odinator Jimmy Luitolo who is also a member of the organising committee said, the guest of honour will be the caretaker Minister For Education Dick Ha’amoriwith the official opening taking place in the morning.
The program will feature speeches, raising of the school flag, displays of various schools’ programs and courses.
Entertainment will also be provided during the event.
The highlight of the event will be the cultural performance and custom queen show.
Presentation of prizes and the crowning of the custom queen will be made after the event.
The public had been urged to be part of the event.
