THE Solomon Islands National University will commence lectures on Monday, the 23rd of May.
A statement from the university’s executive management said the National Oversight Committee has now granted formal approval for the university to commence lectures on 23rd May.
The statement said this approval was granted following recommendations from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services assessment team which concluded that risks posed by COVID-19 on SINU’s preparedness are rated low.
With the oversight committee’s approval the university resolved that:
- The 2022 academic calendar to be revised for week one lectures to commence on 23rd May 2022.
- Online and manual enrolment will continue until 20th May 2022.
- Staff and students to show vaccination cards and negative swab test results taken within five days before allowed entry to all SINU campuses.
The university said students doing Distance Flexible Learning (DFL) registration, counselling and classes will be conducted virtually.
