Solomon Islands National University (SINU) Vice Chancellor Dr Glynn Galo has acknowledged students, staff and sponsors of the university’s open day program last week for their participations in hosting the program successfully.
The open day was attract many students from various schools in Honiara and the public,.
The day was hosted last Thursday at the Kukum campus sports ground.
The day featred campus tour to Ranadi marine campus, Panatina and Kukum through free transport services.
Dr Galo before presenting the prizes and closing the event said he was proud of the high participation of students and those who attended the open day.
“The success of the program shows that students are commitment to promoting Solomon islands very own national university.”
He assured everyone that school managements will try to make the same program by improving it in the future.
SINU student’s council president Wilson Mae also acknowledged the students for their contributions in making the program running smoothly.
“Without your help and participation, the open day will not successfully end” Mr Mae said.
A fundraising event organised by the students was held at the Water Front night club over the week end.
The fundraiser is to support the students’ council.
