Solomon Islands Ports Authority (SIPA) has revealed on Thursday the coastline waters starting from Kokonut Café to Lunga is under their jurisdictions, thus any shipping activities along that coastline should be reported to them.
Speaking during the forum at the Heritage Park Hotel yesterday, a SIPA team member presented in a power point presentation that the this stretch of coastline remains under their jurisdiction.
SIPA claimed that shipping activities occurring in this area should be reported to them as they have all the rights under the law to know about ships floating or berthing on this shoreline area.
They revealed that SIPA will getting tough on their wide stretching boundary along the coast as the reform unfolds.
