The public forum organised by the Solomon Islands Ports Authority (SIPA) to clarify issues surrounding the SIPA reform was successfully held yesterday at the Heritage Park Hotel conference room.
Hundreds of people attended the meeting with presentations from members of the SIPA team including the controversial Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Collin Yow.
The forum was fair and participatory as questions and answer session followed after the presentations made by SIPA members, which many Solomon Islanders were given the opportunity to make comments and ask questions.
Many of the participants were managers of foreign companies, local business men, senior government officers and members of Non-Government Organisations (NGO).
The event started at 4:30pm and ended at 7:20pm with a dinner served for all participants.
