SOLOMON Islands Rugby Union Federation (SIRUF) this week welcomed new members into Team Solomons Rugby 7s for the Oceania Rugby 7s tournament (OR7s) as it prepares to host the event for the first time in Honiara next month.
As part of its preparation for the major competition, SIRUF appointed a Rugby Coach, Strength and Conditioning Coach and Team Manager for both male and female teams.
The newly appointed Head Coach for men’s team is Philip Campbell, while the newly appointed Head Coach of the Women’s Team is Lungu Kikolo.
The newly appointed Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men’s Team is Mike Tuiakihenua, while the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Women’s Team is Apisai Vacala Vitukawalu.
The newly appointed Team manager for the Men’s Team is Gary Hatigeva, while the newly appointed Team Manager for the Women’s Team is Miliana Vatutuku.
SIRUF in a statement, welcomed the team on board and expressed hope for their dedication, knowledge and passion to pushing the players to reach new heights and bring life to the sport.
