THE Solomon Islands Women in Business Association group have carved out its activities and plans for this year.
Last year the association organised a number of events for its members including numerous displays of women’s talents through art works, designs, floral and cooking.
This year, they held their first meeting last week for its members.
Margaret Takutile of SIWIBA said the group had held their first meeting during which this year’s plans were drawn.
“Our first activity will be the annual Mere Market to be held this month.
“The Mere’s Market will run for three days at the Ports area, Point Cruz from February 26 to 28 starting 8am.
“Other activities will also take place during the year including poultry training, garment training, piggery, floral and business development training.
“These trainings will take place between March and October,” she said.
About 51 members attended the meeting.
