A three-day business training on “Start and Grow Your Business” kicked off yesterday for SIWIBA members at the SIWIBA Business Development Center, Room 48, NPF Plaza.
The “Start and Grow Your Business” training includes the basics of business to get members well equipped before venturing into serious business.
The aim of the training is to see that members are equipped with the appropriate information and skills to apply into their business. SIWIBA understands that many women are involved in the cottage industry (informal sector), food industry and agriculture as their small business set up. With a number of women harboring their business within these sectors, one main challenge that is faced by women is how to manage and grow their small business.
This training targets the foundation to enhance applicable start and grow techniques and disciplines for small business in order that these women develop their business with greater confidence.
The training also includes areas on: Turning Your Passion into Business, Marketing Strategies, Costing and Pricing, Book Keeping and Business Plan. The training will also accommodate group activities on calculations and presentations.
The training is facilitated by Ms. Celia Kopana who is the owner of SI Small, Micro & Medium Enterprise (SIMSME) and an active member of SIWIBA. The three-day workshop will end Thursday this week with awarding of certificates.
SIWIBA wishes to acknowledge the Australian Aid (DFAT) for their support towards the Association’s training plan and activities.
