After months of training the Solomon Islands Women in Business Association (SWIBA) will host its Meres Market on the 29th, 30 and 31st of October next week at the National Art Gallery grounds .
The highlight of the market will be the official handover of funding from the Department of Australia foreign affairs and external trade (DFAT) to run the organization.
Meres Market has been an avenue for marketing, network creation, exposure and promotion of small business activities owned by our local women in the Solomon Islands.
These small activities involved food catering, floriculture, art and crafts and garments and other services. It is an activity SIWIBA set to encourage women to expose their skills into business activities in order to raise finance for their families and personal needs.
The SIWIBA secretariat and the Meres Market committee appeals to the members of the Public, Cooperate Houses and Ministries to come and show support for our local women in their small business activities during the event.
Members of SIWIBA are also encouraged to participate in the event.
Registration for Meres Market is open for members at SIWIBA office room 48 NPF Plaza, point Cruz.
