With the continuation and growth in the expansion of mobile network in the country Our Telekom is currently working on the civil works for new mobile towers for selected communities in Western Province.
The new mobile towers will be built at Maravari, Bava Island, Gizo, Noro, Munda and Goldie College.
Once that happen it will improve mobile coverage in those areas. The towers are aim to be completed by March 2015.
At present civil work is currently under way paving the first phase of the projects which is the construction of the tower base.
Two engineers are currently in the Western province conducting technical design for the new projects.
The two said so far work is in progress in terms of cleaning up areas for the construction of towers and it seems towers will be in operation ahead of the timeline if things goes well.
