RE-ELECTED Member of Parliament (MP) for East Kwaio Stanley Sofu has been congratulated by both his supporters and non-supporters.
Mr Sofu was re-elected for the third term in office last week in what was described as a landslide victory.
A group of men speaking to the paper yesterday said they were satisfied with the outcome of the results and wanted to congratulate Mr Sofu on his victory.
East Kwaio men Wesley Suf and Alex Tome claimed, on behalf of all the non supporters and supporters, they wish to congratulate the re-elected MP and urged him (Sofu) to pull up his socks and serve the constituency in a fair and transparent manner to ensure development takes place.
They said despite being supporters of different candidates, they were satisfied and happy with the result.
“We respect the result and hope that our re-elected MP will continue to provide positive support for the constituency.”
The duo appealed to all East Kwaio people to have respect and work closely with Mr Sofu so that development can happen.
The first runners up for East Kwaio was the veteran journalist and former East Kwaio MP Alfred Sasako.
