Member of Parliament (MP) for East Kwaio Stanley Sofu returns to his former school as the guest of honor after 38 years to congratulate the graduating students.
Mr Sofu was the guest of honor at the Aligegeo Provincial Secondary School annual graduation and prize giving ceremony on Wednesday.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Development (MID) told students that it was a great honor and privilege to return to the school that he once studied and call home 38 years ago when he was doing his secondary education.
He shared his achievements with the graduating students saying Aligegeo School has been the guide and mentor in his life, which pushes him to where he is today.
“My time here at Aligegeo School as a student has make the difference in my life, which makes me who I am today.”
He told the students that if they take the good advice that their teachers gave them in class they will also achieve better things in the future.
Sofu said his presence and the presence of other guests, parents, and guardians at the graduation and prize-giving ceremony was to give the students the morale support to push them further in their education to achieve their dreams at the end of their school journey.
Mr. Sofu while congratulating the graduating students, also appealed to the stakeholders of Aligegeo school to continue to support the school in order for the school to continue to produce good future leaders for this country in the years to come just as in the past.
Sofu return to Honiara on Wednesday afternoon after the graduation ceremony.
He was also a guest at Su’u national secondary school graduation on Saturday.
