Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has defeated the motion of no confidence against him.
The result came just before 5.30pm this evening (6th December 2021).
Fifteen Members of Parliament voted for the motion and 32 members voted against it with two abstain.
The Motion of No Confidence against Mr Sogavare was filed by the MP for Auki/Langalanga and Opposition Leader Matthew Wale.
Parliament has been adjourned for Tuesday 7th December 2021.
