THE Sol2023 Pacific Games venues have been certified ahead of the first ever Pacific Games to be held in the country next month.
This means the venues have been established to be in compliance with requirements set by respective international sporting federations.
This was confirmed by the National Hosting Authority (NHA) Executive Director Christian Nieng during the SOL2023 Pacific Games talkback on the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation on Sunday.
“All the games venues have been certified by the respective international federations, except [for] the SIFF academy at KGVI in east Honiara which is yet to be competed.”
“The football pitch at the National Stadium at KGVI is also certified by the FIFA, having met the required standard and therefore will be used during the Pacific Games.
“Only one final games venue is yet to completed and that is the SIFF academy at the KGVI in east Honiara. The venue will be completed and will be handed over on the 24th of October 2023.”
