The recently held SolBrew Rugby 7s tournament was a success as described by the organisers.
The tournament was jointly organised by Solomon Islands Rugby Union Federation (SIRUF) and Honiara Rugby Union Association (HRUA) and was played at the Panatina oval on Friday 13th June.
A total of twelve teams participated in the tournament namely; Avaiki 1, Avaiki 2, Realas 1, Realas 2, Marist, Demax, Diesel Services, Teofa 1, Teofa 2, Luapel 1, Luapel 2, and SINU Invitational.
Avaiki 1 was crowned the champions after defeating Luapel in the grand final.
The organisers described the tournament as very intense and a lot of potential were displayed throughout the whole day.

This championship will see the inclusion of many provincial sides plus top clubs in Honiara and will definitely showcase some of the raw talents the provinces has to offer. SIRUF together with SolBrew would like to see a greater participation from the provinces in this upcoming National Invitational Championship.
