If we can beat New Zealand I am sure Solomon Islands senior national squad can also beat New Zealand in the upcoming OFC Stage Three final of the World Cup qualifiers next month.
That was according to head coach of the Vanuatu national football team Moise Poida.
Poida made the comment after their friendly match with Solomon Islands at the Lawson Tama stadium last Friday.
“New Zealand is not like before were we called them power house,’’ Poida told local media.
“Right now any team can beat them,’’ he said.
He said, if Vanuatu can beat New Zealand in the past, Solomon Islands have everything to beat them in this upcoming finals.
“If Vanuatu can beat them I think Solomon Islands can also beat them.’’
He said it is just a last game, therefore if Solomons can merge their missing element in their preparation he is certain that Solomon islands will be on a right track to beat New Zealand.
“Solomons have everything to beat them.
“Solomons have good talented players, fast players, and very skillful players,’’ he added.
