Two renowned local futsal clubs, Paramartyr Kingz and Auki Eels Futsal clubs will participate in Vanuatu’s Shefa futsal league this weekend.
For Paramartyr Kingz, this is in preparations for their participation for the Craig Foster Futsal Challenge which will be held in Cold Coast, Australia next year while it is mainly exposure for the boys from the Auki Township.
The Paramartyr Kingz club comprises of very talented futsal players, the likes of jack Wetney’s brother Albert Wetney, Alvin Hou, and Charlie Kalola to name a few, and are looking forward to grab some good results from the tournament.
Two years ago, they represented Solomon at Craig Foster competition and won the U19 category competition when they were still at the U16 category.
Coach and team leader, Thomas Kalola said the Vanuatu clubs are so looking forward for the two teams’ participation.
He said the importance of such tour is to build relationships with other clubs and get exposure.
The teams will depart tomorrow where they will kick off their first match playing against each other on that same day just a few hours after arrival.
