OUR Telekom is the Platinum sponsor for the 2016 Solomon Games with a sponsorship package of around SBD $248 000.
The deal was was signed and handed over to the President of the Solomon Games Council Alexander Macdonald by Our Telekom CEO Loyley Ngira.
Our Telekom in a statement said it is pleased to announce that they are Platinum Sponsor for the 2016 Solomon Games.
The sponsorship values at approximately SBD248,000 and includes cash and non-cash benefits.
Our Telekom’s commitment to the sponsorship includes;
1. Cash support
2. The provision of 2,000 prepaid SIM cards for games participants.
3. Telecommunication services including phone calls & broadband at the Games main office for 2 months (June & July).
4. Branded Polo T- Shirts for executive members and staff
5. Our Telekom Red Hot Shirts for volunteers.
Our Telekom will also be setting up wifi hot spots at the major Games villages and will have booths set up at the games venues for sales of products and services and for general inquiries.
In receiving the sponsorship President of the Solomon Games Council Macdonald thanked Our Telekom for the timely Sponsorship.
Macdonald said athletes have already arrived in Honiara and most of the cash sponsorship shall go towards feeding the participants as the Council awaits other support to come through.
The sponsorship commitment was a response to a call for assistance by the 2016 Solomon Games Council.
Our Telekom having recognised the need to assist in such an important event is pleased to support. Such national events need resources and collaborated efforts for its success.
