A SOLOMON Islander is now in charge of the Adventist Disaster and Relief Agency (ADRA) Office in Vanuatu.
She is Lynffer Maltungtung, who was appointed as the Country Director for ADRA Vanuatu, a statement from the Vanuatu Mission of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church yesterday announced.
Mrs Maltungtung has worked with ADRA Vanuatu for some time now. Her previous role with the agency was Programmes Director.
Mrs Maltungtung is a lawyer by profession and hails from Malaita Province.
She studied law in Vanuatu and got married to a Ni-Vanuatu
Mrs Maltungtung served as head of the Honiara-based Family Support Centre before returning to Port Vila where she took up employment with ADRA Vanuatu.
Many people who know Mrs Maltungtung have conveyed their congratulatory messages to her on her new appointment.
