OFC Men’s Olympic Qualifier draw confirmed
SOLOMON Islands has been drawn in group B of the OFC Men’s Olympic Qualifying tournament to be held between August 27 and September 9.
The eight teams, American Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu have been drawn into two groups of four teams with matches played at Go Media Stadium Mount Smart, and The Trusts Arena.
Solomon Islands is grouped alongside Vanuatu, Samoa and Tonga.
The tournament’s opening match is set for August 27 and will feature Fiji and American Samoa, at Go Media Stadium Mt Smart.
The winners and runners-up of each group will progress to semi-finals on Wednesday August 6 at North Harbour Stadium at 3pm and 7pm NZT with the final to be played at North Harbour Stadium on Saturday September 9 at 7pm NZT.
The winner will represent Oceania at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
