SOLOMON water says residents in Honiara will continue to experience improvements to its water supply following the recent devastation of floods and damages.
Ray Andresen, Solomon Water’s Operations Manager, said water from the Tasahe reservoir tank was fed into to the Kongulai Gravity system.
This means that all areas in White River, St John School, Independence Valley, Laundry Valley, Tandai Heights, Rove and Rifle Range will now receive water, however, this will be rationed and water will flow during the day only.
“65 percent of the residents in Honiara now receive water to their homes and Solomon Water Operations teams are working hard to restore full operations of Honiara’s water supply system,” Mr Andresen said.
All areas should have some water flow and are advised to use water sparingly until the water crisis is over.
Water should be boiled before drinking or using to prepare food as a safety precaution.
