CASH-WATER TOP UP SOON
SOLOMON Water says it will soon launch its mobile top-up service for its CashWater customers.
This means customers registered with BSP’s online banking will soon be able to buy a CashWater top up on their mobile phones, the organisation’s latest newsletter publication has reported.
Solomon Water Customer Service Manager, Lucy Habu said:
“We are very excited about CashWater and the new online service which will bring greater convenience to our customers.
“Soon they will be able to top up their CashWater unit directly from their BSP bank accounts through Mobile Banking.
“You can also purchase CashWater tokens from your friends and family using our prepaid CashWater system.
“This can be done at the customer’s convenience without the need to go to one of our cashier locations”.
Solomon Water CEO Ian Gooden said:
“We now have over 3,000 customers on CashWater in Honiara and this will also help reduce payment risk, improve cash flow, and provide our customers with flexibility in their water management.
“In addition this will help with water conservation and save customers money, as we have seen that our CashWater customers use about 20% less water compared to those with conventional postpaid meters.
“We are confident this service will work well for our customers.”
Gooden said this service was possible through the partnership Solomon Water has created with BSP.
“Together, we are committed to ensure this service is easily accessible to the public.
“Many customers and businesses with staff housing are asking to have their homes connected with CashWater.
“We are doing our best to meet this demand but can only progress installations at the rate we can get the meters in from Africa where they have been very successful.
“We ask our customers to be patient as we are forced to prioritise installations.
“Solomon Water and BSP Bank will shortly launch the new top up system once final testing is completed.”
