Soltuna Limited will again organise another major competition in few months time which will include Auki, Gizo, Noro and Honiara.
Soltuna marketing manager (SMM) Kenwood Harry has confirmed August as when the competition will start.
But for this draw the lucky participants would no longer win hard cash but items like chainsaw, outboard motor (OBM), rayboat and other materials that would able to benefit people in rural communities.
Mr Harry in an interview yesterday said for the next competition Soltuna wants to make sure people in our rural areas get materials to help them in their communities
“Many times when people receive cash prizes they normally spent it unwisely, so therefore Soltuna proposed that this draw would allow people to win materials that would benefit them directly,” Mr Harry said.
The Soltuna marketing officer added said the draw would be only organised in Gizo, Noro, Honiara and Auki where Soltuna office are located.
“This draw would be held at these commercial centres where we have our offices.
“Soon we would be extended the program to other provincial centres, but in the meantime we are concentrating on these centres first,” Mr Harry said.
Meanwhile Mr Harry explained the upcoming competition would be different.
“We are doing away with the label draw like what we have done recently in Honiara where people normally write their names on the label of any Soltuna products and drop them in the box.
“Now the public would have to pay for Soltuna ticket and the lucky ones would grab these top prizes.”
Members of the public in the four centres have been urged to prepare for the competition.
