THIS year has been a successful year for SOSA (Selwyn Old Students Association) Netball Club and the club has rewarded its players with awards during its closing ceremony in Honiara last weekend.
In a statement, SOSA Club said they have awarded three awards to three players.
The awards and winners are as follows:
1. Golden Hand – Kerry Waita;
2. Breakthrough player of the year – Endy Manehaga; and
3. Player of the year – Joy Ma’ake.
These players have been outstanding players for SOSA Netball Club for this year.
The statement said the club also rewarded players who were part of its winning team in the HNA Super A Competition SOSA FAYWRIGHT.
It said after the closing ceremony, SOSA Netball Club’s management congratulated everyone for the successful season and expressed hope to see them again next year.
This year, the SOSA Netball Club also trained small girls to become good netters.
The month-long training programme ended with presentation of certificates to the girls who participated in the Pikinini Netters’ ‘Program.’
The programme was one of the successful programmes for the SOSA Netball Club for the year.
