LOCAL gospel boy-band, Soul Seekers, has had its final concert in Port Vila, Vanuatu filmed, produced live and soon to be released.
The group, which left for Vanuatu a little after Christmas, have over the past two weeks involved in witnessing through music throughout Port Vila and also have had the opportunity to travel to Pele Island (a little outside Efate) to help raise funds for a Church building there.
However, the highlight of their tour for the group was that they were able to pen down an agreement with a film crew in Vanuatu who were willing to film their concert live and then have it produced.
Group leader, Chris Maearo informed this paper that they were indeed astounded when the film team approached them to have their concert filmed and produced.
“We saw this as a great opportunity to have God’s messages through our songs reach the unreached and especially those who were not able to make it to the concert to be able to relive it through the DVD,” Mr Maearo said.
“Not only that but it is also a big development for the group itself, having seen people touched by our messages in songs, even to the state that they wanted to produce us performing live.
“We are all excited about it and also count it as a blessing from God, rewarding our hard work over the past two weeks travelling and ministering throughout Port Vila and also Pele Island,” Mr Maearo said.
He added that currently the DVD is now in its final stages of production and will soon be launched and sold in Port Vila and also have copies sent back to Solomon Islands.
Mr Maearo meanwhile thanked the group management and its manager Mamu Paza, the Solomon Islands SDA Mission, the Vanuatu SDA Mission, Solomon Airlines, Youth members of Varamatta and also youths in Vanuatu, Atara singers, families and friends who have all assisted in ensuring the tour is a success.
“We would not have accomplished this tour in the successful manner as it is without your support,” Mr Maearo said.
Soul Seekers along with Varamatta Youth landed back in the country on Sunday following their two week tour of Port Vila.
