A SPECIAL orientation session was held yesterday at USP Laucala campus for Solomon Islands’ first year students who arrived late.
The orientation was organised by USP Campus Life and Students Learning Service (SLS).
A final year student, John Harry, who attended the special orientation, told the Solomon Star the session helped the first year students understand USP’s requirements and services on campus.
Solomon Islands Student Association (SISA) president, Walter Waneoroa lauds USP for running the orientation session since hundreds of local students arrived latein the past two weeks.
“It was as a very important program indeed for our new students as it helps educate them about all the services that USP can freely offer to assist with their academic performance and even their living here at university and Fiji at large,” he said.
The SISA president said there was a good turn out from Solomon Islands students although some couldn____t make it as they were having classes and other reasons.
More than 500 local students are currently enrolled as “new students” at USP Laucala this year.
