THE South Seas Evangelical Church (SSEC) women from the Honiara association have attended a two-day outreach service program at the Tulagi SSEC church during the weekend.
The outreach program which is held four times every year was attended by some 300 women from SSEC local churches within Honiara.
Honiara women’s association coordinator Unity Fanasia said the program was held under a theme ‘Empowering Women for Transformation’.
“This underlines the importance of women needing to work in the mission field to fulfil Gods call.
“During the program, women put under microscope the life of Serah in the bible.
“The life she lived was a beauty, patience and submitted to her husband – something women today should emulate,’’she said.
Ms Fanasia added they also talk about salvation for women to go forward in life and work according to the gospel.
She said women who attended the program had taken home a lot of positive messages that can empower them.
