A CONCERN man in Auki town is calling on the newly formed Malaita executive to put out their differences and worked together for the betterment of the province.
Robert Unu said there is not time for unnecessary disagreements.
“Members of the executive should work together and stop their disagreements. That is just one post, teamwork is the vital key to moving forward.”
This was in relation to reports the new executive have split up due to disagreements over the appointment of former deputy premier to the same post in this new assembly.
But Unu said voters do not want to see disputes over petty issues that can be settled easily.
“All we want to see is unity and working together to move the province forward.
“The deputy premier is only one person and he can work collaboratively together with the executive if the team drives policies together.”
Mr Unu said the province have no time to waste.
“It was down on its knees during the past years, pick up with the new national government and work together to achieve both short term and long term goals.”
He said it is a golden opportunity for Malaita to capture the chances the national government is giving Malaita.
“As it is, the government is prioritizing this province in major developments, therefore we should stop grumbling and started working.”
Premier Peter Ramohia has said that his executive will discuss the matter, Thursday.
