DIPLOMA of teaching primary pre service year two students of Solomon Islands National University Panatina Campus displayed their academic assessment through a fascinating cultural show on Friday.
The program aims at sharing and learning different cultures from different Islands in the country.
A good number of staff, students, friend’s parent and children turn up to watch and witnessed the talented students.
Four cultural groups participated in the cultural assessment show.
Social Science Head of Department and cultural tutor Eddie Maelasi said the show was part of the yearly academic assessment under its unit ss11b on culture and citizenship education.
He said the assessment helps students integrate in different ways of culture throughout Solomon Islands and by doing that student will know well each other.
He add that not only for cultural integrate but to empower young people with responsibility to respect human right in the society.
“This will help students performing cultural activists when taking on the task back in their respective community or schools” Mr Maelasi said.
The culture and citizenship education was one of the units in the primary teaching learning syllabus.
Meanwhile, Mr Maelasi acknowledged the students for their responsibility and commitment shown at the cultural presentation yesterday.
