THE Holy Cross Cathedral choir ministry over the weekend successfully held their retreat program at Don Bosco Henderson Dominican formation house in East Honiara.
The event was held on 18th -20th May with their retreat master Sr Lina MA from Philippine. She serve in the archdiocese of Honiara as missionary of assumption and she present talks on Who am I?
This was for the members to think, reflect and self-discover themselves to know who they are as Cathedral choir ministry members to preach and proclaim God through singing.
Cathedral choir ministry involve young peoples and one of the active ministries in Holy Cross that they always led the liturgy during Holy Mass with the other spiritual that can help them to direct them through the talents and skills of singing to praise and worship the lord.
During the retreat Sr Lina MA shared in deep of who am I and she encouraged them first they must know themselves then they can know others or involve in Church and community activities.
In that way it can also help their personal beings by discovering themselves to fully understand the importance and purpose of being who am I.
She also stated that as choir members they’re the role model to transform their faith in the families in what they know and young people they need to adopt and practice the gift of singing by praising Him because singing is also pray.
The retreat talks was really helpful to the members to think reflect and recollect their mind in failure’s in live as members of choir ministry.
In the evening they have received the sacrament of penance and after they meet Jesus in the presence of the blessed the sacrament which is adoration. The retreat team also led the liturgy during Pentecost Sunday to mark the ending of the retreat program with the spiritual purity soul.
