Former Malaita premier Edwin Suibaea has congratulated his successor Peter Channel Ramohia and encouraged him to work hard to move the province forward.
Suibaea was premier from 2010 to 2014. He lost his seat in last month’s election to newcomer Glen Waneta.
Speaking from his hometown of Malu’u, Suibaea said he was happy for Ramohia taking on the job from him to lead the province for the next four years.
And he called on all the 33 provincial members to stand together with Ramohia to guide the province in its development endeavours.
“My last executive had laid the foundation for a number of projects. Now it’s the role of the new administration to build on those efforts,” Suibaea said.
