IT’S a heartbreaking story to hear a mother has taken her own life by hanging from a rope at their family kitchen.
The incident which occurred in Munda, Western Province over the weekend is a classic example of how family domestic argument has gone wrong. As a result someone has decided to take her own life for not good reason.
It’s a sad incident where someone decided against seeking support from family members, relatives, friends and organizations.
A report issued by the Police Media Unit said the incident happened on Sunday.
It was reported the body of an adult female who believed to have hanged herself was found in a kitchen house on 19 June 2022.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Western Province Chief Superintendent Mathias Lenialu said, “The deceased and her husband had a little misunderstanding that leads to a minor argument which resulted in the wife decided to took her own life by hanging herself with a piece of rope in their own kitchen house.”
It is very sad because if this couple had children, the innocent children are now without their mother.
They will live a broken heart for the rest of their lives.
And the husband will also be affected.
It’s unfortunate that a small argument and misunderstanding has ended in a tragic way.
It’s undisputed that husbands and wives would often have argument at home over certain issues.
However, it requires better understanding of the situation.
If there are serious issues its best to discuss and resolved them once and for all.
There are many ways to solve issues, if someone is unhappy.
But to suddenly cut off your life like that is not the solution.
In the end it’s the children, family members and relatives who are affected.
For the young children they would be without their mother. A home without a mother is like an empty space.
In any home, children would often call or lookout for their mothers.
In this case, the children are now victim of a situation which could have been avoided.
It’s a great loss to the family.
In the country there were cases of people taking their own lives due to disagreements.
Some were reported while others went unreported.
There are organizations in the country that can help you if thinking of going down that path. Its important that if you have personal issues and problems its best to share it with others.
Get support through forms of counseling from responsible organizations to help.
