THE opening of Our Telekom Foneshop in the Malaita Provincial capital of Auki is a fulfillment of Our Telekom’s mission statement, says Provincial Premier Daniel Suidani.
Speaking during the grand opening of Our Telekom flagship store services in Auki yesterday afternoon, Premier Suidani congratulated Our Telekom for reaching another milestone in its telecommunication service.
“As you know, Solomon Telekom Company Limited (Our Telekom) is a joint venture company between Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (SINPF) and the Investment Corporation of the Solomon Islands (ICSI).”
“Our Telekom over the years of operation has been positively engaged in the development of Telecommunication services in the Solomon Islands with its services covering various areas.”
“Our Telekom has telecommunication service and offices presence in all provinces and is continuing its rural GSM expansion since 2013.”
“As the company mission statement is to deliver outstanding service and shareholders value, caring for its staff and customers; empowering the social, economic and unique culture development of our people in the Solomon Islands- today it is continuing to fulfil its mission statement in the opening of the Foneshop in Malaita Province.”
“In the past, the Solomon Telekom Company has operated and due to the expansion of the company to achieve its mission statement, there is a need for a building to cater for its operation.”
“To make this happen, we need a building. As a result, the SINPF, one of the major shareholders of the Solomon Telekom, made the initiative to build this new building, which we are here to witness its opening today, to cater for the Telekom Foneshop.”
“Therefore, without you, this project wouldn’t have come off the ground.”
“It could have gone over many stumbling blocks on the way and wouldn’t have been completed.”
“Without you this Foneshop couldn’t have been designed, equipped or furnished.”
“Without you this infrastructure wouldn’t have become so attractive, inviting and fun to be in.”
“Without you we couldn’t have pushed the project ahead, backfilling the land to build on, and relying on your patience and support,” Premier Suidani said.
“Thank you all for enduring the pain of labor.”
“This building was born and now houses the Auki Telekom Foneshop.”
“A dream has come true.”
“I always tell people, look how efficient this prince is, this project would have not happened without the hard work of the initiators of the project.”
“And there is another dream that has come true today.”
“It is you, the management of Solomon Telekom Company.”
“Without you, the shiny building is useless, meaningless, it is the way you use the building that makes me and the people of Malaita happy,” Premier Suidani added.
