PROVINCIAL Government and Institutional Strengthening (MPGIS) minister Rollen Seleso says he has resolved his differences with Malaita Premier Daniel Suidani during a meeting in Honiara, Tuesday.
Seleso earlier warned Suidani he will suspend the Malaita Provincial Government if the premier refuses to cooperate with the Government on COVID-19 efforts.
Suidani fired back in his letter of reply, accused the Sogavare Government of threatening a legitimately elected government.
Following the tit-for-tat, Seleso invited Premier Suidani and three members of his Executive to sort out the misunderstandings.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Manasseh Maelanga, Minister for Justice and Legal Affairs (MJLA) Makario Tagini, Minister for National Planning and Development Coordination (MNPDC) Rex Ramofafia and Minister for Agriculture and Livestock (MAL) Senley Levi Filualea and three MPAs from the Malaita Provincial Executive.
“The leaders have expressed their views and have reached a common understanding on issues raised which forms the way forward for further dialogue,” a statement from the Government said.
