THE Malaita Provincial Premier Daniel Suidani has thanked the national government for its commitment in delivering the Mini Taro Pack House project in Malaita Province.
Speaking during the ground-breaking ceremony on Saturday at Adaliua in Central Kwara’ae, Premier Suidani congratulated the national government for the initiative.
“It is a great honor and pleasure for me to be here this morning to attend this long-awaited ground-breaking ceremony of a timely project to assist local farmers in Malaita.”
“On behalf of the MARA government and the people of Malaita Province, allow me to express my warm congratulations to the national government for the initiative of this project possible.”
“We appreciate all of you coming out here today and being our guest to celebrate this special historical day with us.”
“This day would not have come to fruition without the hard work, endless hours and true dedication of the responsible government ministries who are all present here with us today.”
‘My sincere thanks goes to the initiator of this project- the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade through the Enhanced Integrated Framework- whose successful negotiations ensured support from the World Trade Organization to enhance our capacity and thus the construction of this Taro Pack House.”
“This Taro Pack House is the second infrastructure to be funded under the project.”
“This is in line with the government policy of trying to keep investing more in economic activities in the productive sector.”
“On that note, this project is one of them.”
“This more or less maps out that direction of the government policy to support the rural areas and enhance commercial farming.”
“It must be noted that without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement and success would be meaningless.”
“This has been a long and tedious process. This project started with a vision. A vision to engage more in economic activities in the productive sector.”
“Therefore, this project in years from today will remain special and the envy of many other Taro farmers within the province.”
