TWO exciting football matches are scheduled to take place today.
The Solomon Islands National U19 Team will play a select side from the Telekom S-League at 2pm followed by a friendly match between the TSL champions, Solomon Warriors FC and a second Select Side at 4pm.
Both matches will be played at the Lawson Tama Stadium.
These matches are part of the U19 preparations for the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) U19 Championship in May and Warriors preparations for the upcoming Oceania Club Championship formerly known as the O’league.
This followed the trial match which was successfully held at Lawson Tama last Saturday which enabled the management to name their final squad.
The finalised list is expected at the end of the week as the management makes a final review of the performance of players from the trial match.
The Select sides comprise of some of the renowned TSL players the likes of Western United’s defender Aleck Wickham, Michael Boso, Himson Teleda, Shadrack Ramoni, Leonard Olea and Augustine Samani to name a few.
The entrance fee is $10-00 per head for both matches and only the grandstand entrance will be used.
The matches start at 2pm and 4pm
