SWIMMING coaches and the Solomon Islands Swimming Federation (SISF) officials had a great opportunity to gain more knowledge of officiating in swimming sporting events with the support of Swimming Technical Official for the Pacific Games Ryan Arblaster,
Arblaster conducted a three days training program which targets mainly Swimming officials.
The program which started on September 17-19th was attended by 24 local swimming coaches.
The training program includes the Rules of Swimming. how to officiate in the games, Competition Management, the competitive Strokes and the Professional Official.
SISF thanked the World Aquatics for offering the course to help the country’s swimming officials
“Thank you World Aquatics for offering this course to develop the Solomon Islands officials
“Would like to also thank the Pacific Games 2023 Games Organizing Committee (GOC) for supporting the program,” a statement from SISF said.
Swimming like any other sports aim to win medals for the country in the upcoming 2023 Pacific Games to be held in Honiara in November.
Such training program is a boost towards preparations to achieve this aim.
