A colorful presentation was successfully held on Saturday night at the Coral Sea resort & casino to mark the end of the 2022-2023 Solrais Women’s Premier League.
All the winning teams and outstanding players received their awards for their achievements.
Champions Koloale walked away with $30,000 and 25 gold medals while runners up RSIPF Royals claimed $20,000 with silver medals and third place Frigates received $15,000 and bronze medals.
The remaining eight teams also received cash prizes.
For the individual awards, Solomon Islands and Koloale captain, Ileen Pegi scoop the Player of the season while Sylvester Maenu also of Koloale got the Golden glove award.
Frigates United forward Jemina David received the Golden boot award and Haura FC received the Fairest team award.
The event was hosts by SIFF in partnership with the SWPL board and major sponsors Solrais Ltd.
Hon. Freda Tuki Soriocomua, Minister of Women, Youth, and Children’s Affairs is the guest of honour at the awards night.
