STAFF at Mercy Primary School at Burns Creek, east Honiara, are demanding the removal of the headmaster.
Their demand was contained in a signed petition handed to the school’s education authority, the South Seas Evangelical Church education board, mid this month.
They accused headmaster Simon Rilaua of misusing school funds.
He was also accused of poor administration failure to control spending.
The teachers also called on the school’s education authority to quickly audit its accounts.
But Mr Simon Rilaua has denied the allegations, saying they were unsubstantiated, adding the teachers should have approached him first before going to the media.
“In fact the teachers just wanted to tarnish my name in the media but I will meet with them and parents so that I can clear my name,” he said.
The teachers said they will be boycotting the end year exam and official closing programme if the authority fails to address the issues raised in the petition.
